Casino Hold’Em

Casino Hold’Em is very similar to the poker game my grandson and every geezer on the block is playing these days. The hand ranking is the same, but in Casino Hold’Em you play against the dealer (or the house) instead of other players.

All players, including the dealer, get two personal cards each after paying the ante. In addition, three community cards (“the flop”) are turned face-up in the middle of the table. All players can use these three cards to make up the best possible five-card poker hand. Based on these five cards, you must decide whether you believe you will beat the dealer or not, after two more community cards have been dealt.

If you think you will win, you call. If you think you will lose, you fold. You may also place an optional AA bet, which means you are betting that you will have a pair of Aces or better after seeing your first two cards and the flop.

The dealer’s cards are not shown until all the betting is done, and the dealer must have a pair of 4s or better “qualify” if he is called. You can win with all three bets (Ante bet, Call bet, AA bet), and the payout depends on if the dealer qualifies (Ante bet), if you had opted for the AA bet (pair Aces or better using the first five cards) and the strength of your hand (Call bet).

Strategy hints: It’s more fun than the circus, seriously, but you should learn the game well before playing for real money, seriously.

Grizzly_Granny recommends: InterCasino, Spin Palace, Ladbrokes Casino and Roxy Palace.
